What the PAUSE Scholarship has meant to me
As a PAUSE scholar, I studied at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia in 2002. That period had a profound impact on both my career and my personal development. The scholarship gave me the opportunity to explore Employee Relationship Marketing (ERM) in depth. It was a relatively new field at the time but has since become central to the way organisations attract, engage and retain employees.
At Wharton, I had access to a world-class academic environment in which I could deepen my understanding of marketing strategies with clear relevance to talent management and employer branding.
The PAUSE Scholarship gave me not only specialist knowledge but also a broader perspective on the relationship between business strategy and HR. The network of professors, colleagues and fellow students has also remained a lasting source of inspiration and learning.
I am convinced that the scholarship was an important milestone in my career. The insights I gained have played a significant part in my work as a strategic adviser in employer branding.
